美国知名媒体《慈善纪事报》最新发布2014年美国慈善排行榜显示，2014年美国最慷慨的50位富豪慷慨捐赠了98亿美元。其中微软公司联合创始人比尔·盖茨夫妇以15亿美元的慷慨捐赠，荣登2014年年度慈善排行榜榜首。

　　2014年美国慈善排行榜显示，2014年美国最慷慨的50位富豪向慈善机构或非营利组织共捐赠了98亿美元，比2013年77亿美元的捐款总额大涨了27.5%。其中2014年美国排名前10位慈善家共捐出了62亿美元善款，占捐款总额的64%。

　　报告称，慈善捐款总额的大幅增加，部分原因是40岁以下的科技公司企业家的慷慨捐赠，去年有三位40岁以下的富豪捐款超过5亿美元。


　　2014年美国慈善排行榜前50名榜单显示，2014年11月比尔·盖茨夫妇向比尔和梅林达·盖茨基金会捐赠了15亿美元，位列2014年度慈善排行榜首位。位列慈善榜第二位的是2014年3月以95岁高龄离世的小拉尔夫·威尔逊，他是1959年成立的美式足球联盟水牛城比尔队的主人，去世后向其底特律的基金会捐赠了10亿美元。位列慈善榜第三位的是83岁的商人泰德·史丹利，捐赠6.5亿美元。

　　2014年脸谱公司以190亿美元收购了即时通讯服务公司WhatsApp，38岁的WhatsApp联合创始人简恩·库姆捐赠了5.56亿美元，在2014年美国慈善榜单中位列第四。

　　纽约前市长、彭博创始人迈克尔·布隆伯格捐款4.62亿美元，位列慈善榜第七；微软联合创始人保罗·艾伦捐款2.98亿美元，位列第十。

　　美国最慷慨的50位慈善家中位数年龄73岁，最年长者为99岁的退休银行家大卫·洛克菲勒。据称，该榜单是基于对基金会或非盈利机构的最新承诺，正在进行的捐款不在此列，所以美国一些最慷慨的慈善家去年捐赠很多却没有出现在50人捐赠榜单。投资家沃伦·巴菲特承诺捐款300亿美元，2014年向比尔和梅林达·盖茨基金会捐款21亿美元，但是没有进入榜单，因为该承诺在2006年做出。
